Welcome to my web site! My name is Daniel Maust and I am a professional Wedding and Portrait photographer. I have lived in Flagstaff, Arizona for over 30 years and I absolutely love it here!
I have photographed many subjects over the years to include; Landscapes, Nature, Sports, Editorial, Theater, Performing Artists and Models just to name a few.
As time passed I found that capturing human emotion was very rewarding for me, especially when I was working in the theater. I loved how photographing performing artists allowed me to capture a story as it played out, freezing moments in time showing happiness, sadness, joy, fear, you name it. It was all right there in front of me. A visual feast to behold. And the theatrical lighting... WOW! I was transformed into a lighting fanatic!
This brings us up to where I am today... a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. After all, isn't a Wedding a performance with main characters, producers, directors, a supporting cast, wardrobe, an elaborate set, a rehearsal the night before and a big party after the show?
And speaking of Portraits... I find that many portrait clients are like undiscovered actors, all with unique faces and personalities that come in all shapes and sizes. Portrait photography gives me the opportunity to work with many different people from different walks of life. From infants to high school seniors, families or family reunions, rock and roll bands or business executives. There is nothing like a great portrait!
To be selected to photograph a wedding or provide someone with an individual or family portrait is an honor that comes with huge responsibility. It is a wonderful feeling to be trusted to capture these special memories so that friends and relatives may enjoy them for generations.
Although based in Flagstaff, Arizona, I am willing to travel for location portrait or wedding photography assignments.
